nicoleNICOLE URIBARRI

Nicole, a native of Miami, Fla., joined the Exhale team in January of 2008. She moved to Chicago in the winter of 2006 to pursue a career in dance. Nicole was a scholarship trainee at the Lou Conte Dance Studio for two years. In the fall of 2006, she performed at the Civic Opera House for the Lyric Opera of Chicago's presentation of "Salome". In the fall of 2007, she was a company apprentice with Hedwig Dances; a Chicago based Modern Dance Company. Her training includes intensives with the San Francisco Conservatory of Dance, the Orlando Ballet and the American Ballet Theatre. Nicole is currently a dancer with the Leopold Group, and she is also an ACSM Certified Personal Trainer. When she's not at exhale, she's probably performing with the Leopold Group around Chicago, extolling the virtues of Luon fabric, or feeling guilty about buying too much tea. Nicole serves as exhale Chicago's Mind Body Manager.

alisonAlison curtis

Alison's passion for motivating, teaching, and empowering people through movement led her to a career as a fitness trainer and yoga instructor. After taking a part time job as a fitness instructor in college, Alison found herself searching for vessels to deepen her understanding of the human body, movement, and methods of teaching. She became an ACE certified personal trainer and group fitness instructor in 2003. Then, at just the right time, she attended a Yoga class. The gentle, yet invigorating practice inspired Alison to integrate her fervor for fitness with her BA in South Asian Religions. Believing that people live more vibrant, engaged, content lives simply by making time to nurture the mind, body, or spirit, she found that becoming a yoga instructor was the perfect fit. Excited to share movement with the children of Chicago, Alison feels that promoting an active lifestyle at a young age will empower children to use movement as a mode of expression and self-awareness as they grow.
